Spiritual Life at ACA

Biblical Integration and Prayer:

Each teacher has committed to do his or her best to integrate Biblical content and truth into the entire academic endeavor. ACA uses Bible-based curriculum for all academic areas. Bible is taught daily in each classroom. Once a week, each student attends a character-building class, SOAR, which offers lessons about applying the Bible truths in daily living.

Each day begins with prayer. Regular opportunities are given for students to share prayer requests and to pray together. Teachers will look for opportunities for spontaneous prayer. Each week students attend Chapel, which is led by the FBCA Children’s Minister.

Statement of Faith

Alpharetta Christian Academy was established as a ministry of First Baptist Church Alpharetta. The goal was to assist Christian families in nurturing their children academically, spiritually, physically, and emotionally. A key part of this partnership is the Statement of Faith, a formal acknowledgement of the theological basis of the philosophy and practices of the school. The Bible, given by God, is divinely inspired, infallible and worthy of our trust. It is the supreme authority in all matters of faith and practice.

  1. We believe that all scripture is verbally inspired as originally written and therefore infallible and inerrant. The Bible IS the Word of God in which both the Old and New Testaments are inerrant in the original writing and are the supreme and final authority for faith and life.
  2. We believe the Godhead exists in three Persons:  Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, and these three Persons are one God, having precisely the same nature, attributes, and perfections.
  3. We believe in His eternal existence as God, His incarnation and virgin birth, His death on the cross as the substitutionary atonement for sin, His literal, bodily resurrection from the dead, His present ministry of intercession in heaven, and His personal, future return to Earth.
  4. We believe that the Holy Spirit, the third Person of the Godhead, convicts men of sin and regenerates, baptizes, indwells, seals, and sets apart believers into a holy life, keeps, and empowers believers day by day, and is the Teacher of the Word of God and the Guide for daily living.
  5. We believe that man was created innocent and pure, that Adam fell through the sin of disobedience; and therefore, all men need redemption.
  6. We believe that salvation is by grace, a gift from God apart from works; that salvation requires repentance, a turning from one’s own way to God’s way; that salvation is through personal faith in the Lord Jesus Christ; that all who receive Jesus Christ are regenerated by the Holy Spirit and become the children of God; and that true salvation will be manifested by a changed life.
  7. We believe in the personal, visible, bodily return of Jesus Christ to earth; the bodily resurrection of the just to eternal life in the presence of God in heaven; and the bodily resurrection of the unjust to the judgment and everlasting punishment.

Alpharetta Christian Academy will base academic and religious instruction on the above Statement of Faith. Alpharetta Christian Academy is committed to providing a Christ-like environment and to teaching from a Christ-centered point of view. All employees sign the following statement of faith therein stating their commitment to the Christ-centered purpose of the school.
